The Crabapple
Vineyard is a family owned and operated business. This venture
grew out of the owners' desire to serve God, work together as a
couple, be a blessing to the community, and use their gifts and
abilities to create financial stability in their own lives.
The idea for a store called "The
Vineyard" came while creating a hanging arrangement of grapes and vines
in their dining room. The name "stuck" as it is appropriate on two
levels
- One definition of a vineyard
is "a field of endeavors"
- John 15:5 Jesus says... "I am
the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I
in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
These two aspects of the word
vineyard capture the spirit of this endeavor.
After several years of praying for
God's direction in their lives, Bill and Bobbie Byrd felt drawn to the
Crabapple community which is located in the new city of Milton.
This is ironic as they had been looking
as far away as Kentucky and Tennessee. Crabapple is convenient to
their present jobs, their families, and promises to be a great place to
start a business.
Their vision and dream of owning a
store came to reality as they opened "The Crabapple Vineyard" on
November 18, 2006. This is a completely new venture for them.
Bobbie has worked for the Cherokee County School System for seventeen
plus years and Bill currently works for a sales company in Canton,
Georgia.
Bill and Bobbie thank God for
bringing them together in their hearts, home, and now at work.
Their hope and dream is that "The Crabapple Vineyard" will become a
"fruitful branch" in the Crabapple community and beyond.
John 15:1 "I am the true vine,
and my Father is the gardener." |
